As 1 of 2 Lead UX designers at Microsoft for their platform migration, Emma works with cross-functional business partners to strategically prioritize and test content across multiple product categories. She has helped create page templates that are scalable to hundreds of markets worldwide while leveraging the latest Microsoft Web Framework pattern library to ensure consistency throughout the new look and feel of modern yet accessible web & mobile experiences of microsoft.com.
In the past, Emma has spearheaded all phases of the UX process; from strategic planning, concepting, and information architecture, to high-fidelity wireframing, prototyping, and A/B testing. She has led and collaborated with visual designers, developers, and stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of a project to help clients deliver a memorable brand experience. She has created products and experiences for a wide range of industries including healthcare, technology, fashion, cannabis, as well as food and hospitality.
Emma received her BFA in Interior Design from San Francisco State University then went on to pursue an MFA in Industrial Design from Academy of Art University shortly after. Her curiosity in all things design has informed her work as a UX designer today, combining a background in designing physical products, technology, and user-centered design thinking. She has been an adjunct professor at Portland's PNCA where she taught Advanced Product Innovation for Industrial Design.
